working with paper

'The artwork the Venture Arts participants produce is of a high quality and explores a range of themes of interest to their clients. On visits to the workshop and through attendance at a public exhibition it is evident that the artists are highly skilled in supporting participants to produce interesting and engaging work.'

Cultural Strategy Team, MCC

'Venture Arts provides a fundamental service for adults with learning disability living in Manchester. The benefit of arts and creativity are that the individual has an opportunity to maximise their potential as well as raising their self esteem, social skills, confidence and self expression. It also enables the individual to make new friends.
There is a great need for this provision as it gives individuals something to look forward to going to on a weekly basis and is a valued weekly activity. Venture Arts offers individuals a chance to explore different forms of art and is a valued provision in Manchester.'

Manchester Learning Disability Partnership.

'I would like to compliment you on the interesting and creative work you encourage the service users to participate in. I have been to a lot of centres, whose idea of art participation is using some crayons and pieces of paper. E’s work mosaics, pottery and drawings are on display and not put in a cupboard as the standard of work is so high. I believe E has really benefitted and learnt new skills whilst attending Venture Arts.'
