About Me:

I've been with Venture Arts for the past three and a half years and it has been a fantastic and immensely rewarding experience so far.

Having done a degree in French, I started my career in commercial, European Marketing and Management.

As I have always been a lover of all things artistic and believe so strongly in how the arts and culture can have a positive impact on peoples' lives, I gradually moved into Arts Management, working in fundraising and marketing before running my own musical organisation for a number of years and then moving on to Venture Arts.

About Me:

I am thrilled to have recently joined Venture Arts and am really looking forward to seeing all the exciting art projects that the participants will be creating.

I have enjoyed working in administration for nearly 40 years for a variety of organisations; BBC - Open Air T.V. Programme, British Airways, The Wheatsheaf Centre, Greater Manchester Police - '999' Emergency Call Line, British Red Cross, Tameside MBC -Licensing and Sure Start.

Some of my more interesting memories include:

  • arranging for a historical Viking enactment group to hold a mock battle –very realistic, noisy and quite scary especially in the fighting scenes.
  • organising a promotional event with Mr Blobby and the Gunge Tank, narrowly missing getting gunged myself.
  • being serenaded by Lister (Craig Charles) and Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) from the television programme Red Dwarf whilst they were in full costume and make-up.

I enjoy creative writing and had a short story published in a book ‘What Big Eyes You’ve Got’.
